Chilcotin Standard Smooths was established in 1968 by Roy and Rose Singleton. The kennel name was derived from the fact that Rose was ¼ Chilcotin Indian which is why so many of our dogs are themed on various tribes. Upon their passing, the kennel was left to myself and my sister Alana to continue on. We have been involved in this wonderful breed since 1986. We breed very selectively producing litters once every two to three years. Currently Chilcotin houses only four dogs. We hold many records for this breed with Best in Show Awards, points allocated, and puppy wins.

Although most of our dogs on these pages have now crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge, we still feel that their achievements are worthy of mentioning. Chilcotin Dachshunds was honored to be chosen as the Pedigree Breeder Of The Year for 1993 and 2000.
